We are looking for someone who wants to work as a teaching pedagogue in vocational Swedish in Stockholm and surrounding areas. You will teach individuals who need language training within specific professions. The education consists of theory, workplace-based learning, and individually tailored language training. Travel within Stockholm and surrounding areas may occur.

Job Responsibilities

As a pedagogue in vocational Swedish, you will teach foreign-born participants Swedish related to industry/profession. It is a job where you get more time for teaching as traditional grading administration is not included. You have opportunities to work creatively with method development and use new technology for language learning. You will have educational and enjoyable collaborations with vocational teachers and professionals. You will have coordinators and a pedagogical manager to assist you in your work.

The work involves continuous dialogue with the Employment Service, collaboration with other actors who also conduct labor market education, and building networks with employers. It is important that you stay updated on what is happening in the labor market and in the business community.

Background and Personal Qualities

• A relevant vocational education of at least one (1) year full-time in the vocational area* you intend to teach in and at least two (2) years of experience teaching in a vocational area* for newly arrived or foreign-born individuals with weak knowledge of Swedish, or
• Pedagogical education of 60 credits or equivalent and at least two (2) years of experience teaching Swedish for newly arrived or foreign-born individuals with weak knowledge of Swedish, or
• Education in Swedish as a second language equivalent to at least 30 credits and at least one (1) year of professional experience in one of the requested vocational areas*.

• Experience working for a complementary actor to the Employment Service.
• Work with individuals who have not yet acquired good knowledge of the Swedish language.
