Do you want to be part of the opportunity to create something new? Vårdcentralen Getingen is a small and family-oriented health care unit located within the hospital area with about 20 employees. The operation is characterized by high medical quality, joy at work, and team spirit. The premises of the operation are located at Skåne University Hospital, which provides several unique service functions such as pneumatic mail, logistics, and laundry management. These premises are also shared with the Evening and Weekend Reception when the health center is closed, which has contributed to a good and close collaboration with the staff in this operation.

Vårdcentralen Getingen is the first unit in Lund to work based on a basic offering with common functions at other health care units. Since the operation has the advantage of being the first to implement this new working method, we have the privilege of influencing our new structures, routines, and functions. Currently, the health center has about 6200 registered patients and provides good and safe care for our listed patients with the help of specialists in general medicine, ST doctors, district nurses, general nurses, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants. The operation also conducts nurse-led diabetes clinics and geriatric clinics. We also collaborate with other primary care units regarding psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to offer patients individualized care at the right level of care.

We are now looking for a confident and experienced medical secretary with an interest in improvement work who wants to be part of our unique journey forward at Vårdcentralen Getingen in Lund.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of medical secretary at Vårdcentralen Getingen, you are a close support to the operation. This largely involves working with administrative tasks such as medical documentation, journal writing, referral management, and independent work in 1177, but also partially staffing the reception. As the operation has a high usage of TIK (voice recognition), there are great opportunities for other administrative tasks, such as IT responsibility, fire safety responsibility, etc. If interested, there is also the possibility of support assignments for management. The workgroup currently consists of one medical secretary and one receptionist, and we are now expanding with another medical secretary.

6,200 registered patients create a high flow of patients to our various employees at the health center, which in turn sometimes increases the need for our medical secretary to be available and deliver good service and atmosphere. Thanks to good stress management, joy at work, the ability to independently organize one's workday, and take responsibility, we deliver at a high level to our colleagues/providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have completed education in health and medical care administration (80 p KY/400 p YH) or equivalent education as a medical secretary. In addition, you have good knowledge of Swedish and the ability to express yourself in both spoken and written English. Furthermore, it is a prerequisite for the position that you have good knowledge of medical terminology. Experience working in primary care and within Health Choice Skåne is an advantage for the position.

For the position, it is required that you are confident in your professional role and can work effectively both independently and in a group. You approach your tasks with great accuracy and enjoy a varied environment. As the work involves close contact with both patients and healthcare staff, you should be service-oriented and enjoy having many points of contact.
