JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be responsible for the municipality's annual report and act as a controller towards the Municipal Executive Administration, which is responsible for HR, finance, communication, administration, staff, and IT issues. You will work closely with the management team and provide ongoing support to the heads of the administration. Additionally, you may take on the role of controller for parts of other administrations. The municipality has several larger projects where you will serve as project economist.
The position is located in the finance department with the chief financial officer as your immediate supervisor. You will be part of our wonderful team consisting of about ten dedicated colleagues who work as controllers, economists, and finance assistants.
QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to being a skilled economist, the position requires you to be self-driven, good at communicating, and meeting deadlines. You enjoy supporting and serving with follow-ups, forecasts, analyses, and like to work with development.
You need to be good at building relationships and focused on delivering results. Since the job is independent, you need to be able to plan and organize your work and be able to write, report, and deliver in a structured and logical manner.
You need to have a higher education in finance and experience working as an economist/controller. Experience with annual reports is an advantage, as well as experience as a project economist. Experience working within a municipality is a plus, but not a requirement.
