Administrator sought for the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education

The main task of the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education is to be responsible for issues concerning higher vocational education in Sweden and to ensure that the programs meet the labor market's need for skills. We are also responsible for post-secondary arts and culture education as well as interpreter training within folk education. We also promote and coordinate validation issues and serve as the national coordination point for the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

We analyze the labor market's need for education, decide which programs should be included in higher vocational education, and grant state funds to educational providers. The agency supervises and handles complaints regarding the programs within our area of responsibility. We also review the quality of the programs, produce statistics, and follow up on the results of the education.

The agency has about 150 employees distributed across nine units, with its headquarters in Västerås and an office in Hässleholm.

About the position and job responsibilities

Your main job responsibilities span several areas but primarily include administrative support to investigators and managers regarding quality review. This may involve administrative support in planning work, sending out information to providers before reviews, record-keeping, documentation in Excel, dispatching decisions, and planning webinars/theme days.

Currently, there is one administrator from another unit at the office, and the two of you will collaborate on certain tasks and share responsibility for service and facility management at the office. This may involve everything from fruit deliveries, contacts with property owners and suppliers, inventory, orders to the office supply, etc. Together, you will ensure that processes run smoothly and that the office environment is functioning well.

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma (at least SeQF level 4) or equivalent qualifications through relevant experience and/or education
  • Three years of current experience in qualified and coordinating administrative work
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience working in various operational systems
  • Very good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience with record-keeping
  • Experience with facility management and service functions related to office environments
  • Experience working in public sector

Organizational placement

The unit for quality review and educational issues is located both in Västerås and Hässleholm and currently has 17 employees. The unit's mission is to review and promote the quality of the programs for which the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education is responsible. We are now looking for an administrator to be based in Hässleholm.

Other

The position is a permanent full-time employment. The agency applies a probationary period. Start date by agreement. Place of work: Hässleholm. The nature of the tasks means that they are performed at the office, and the possibility of remote work is limited.
