HR Partner (Temporary Position) at Malmö Opera

Malmö Opera is the heart and voice of music drama in Skåne. The house was inaugurated in 1944 and is centrally located in the Öresund region, just 20 minutes from Copenhagen. The stage is one of the largest in Europe, and the amphitheater-style auditorium accommodates 1500 visitors. We perform classical, modern, and newly written music drama. Malmö Opera has over 285 permanent employees and 500–700 engaged performers each season. During a season, we produce over 300 performances for the main stage as well as for children, youth, and touring activities.

Job Description

We are now seeking a goal-oriented person for our HR department who will help develop, drive, and manage Malmö Opera's HR processes. The HR department supports an organization with about 300 employees, around twenty managers, and in addition, we also have hundreds of temporarily contracted artists, performers, and other talents. The role of HR Partner is both strategic and operational, and you will work with HR issues in all its breadth. You will contribute your expertise in consultative managerial support, workplace issues, labor law, competence development, and recruitment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with several years of relevant HR experience. We place great importance on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is change-oriented and works with respect and integrity. It is important that you can work independently and are responsible and results-oriented in your work. You think strategically and have the ability to see the big picture, as well as take your own initiative to drive your work forward. As a person, you are confident in yourself, have an easy time building good relationships at various levels in the organization, and enjoy varied tasks.

To succeed in this position, the following is required:

  • Bachelor's degree (180 credits) in HR/personnel or similar education deemed adequate by the employer
  • Documented experience in several HR processes such as labor law, payroll issues, and workplace safety and rehabilitation
  • Good ability and experience in expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite, preferably knowledge of an HRM system

Employment Conditions

The position is a temporary one starting on August 5, 2025, and lasting until June 2026.
