Team Leader for Service Unit North/West
At the Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
Our work is truly important!
We are looking for a team leader for the service unit North/West, located in Gothenburg.
The service units are present in all regions and in the cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Norrköping, and our mission is to support the operations in matters concerning service and security in administrative premises, detention centers, and in the future also collective housing.
As a team leader in the service unit, you will work with issues that support the operations and are influenced by what happens in our environment. We offer a dynamic environment where continuous improvements, follow-up, and development are in focus. With us, you will encounter various issues ranging from physical premises security, participation in local projects to service and procurement.
The North/West service unit has a geographically large area, with employees placed and working in Gothenburg, Umeå, and Boden.
What does a team leader do?
As a team leader, you represent the employer and support the immediate manager in the operational management work of the unit. This means that you allocate resources and prioritize tasks as needed after consultation with the manager, coordinate and follow up on the unit's daily work, and report continuously to the unit manager. Through a coaching approach, you guide the employees. You will also participate in and partly drive winding-down projects and represent the service unit in other projects and meeting forums that the North/West service unit participates in.
Together with the unit manager, you coach the unit towards goal fulfillment and ensure that standards and routines are followed. Among other things, through systematic and regular feedback to employees. You drive the work of continuously improving methods, routines, and working methods and also collaborate with other operations both within the section and the Migration Agency as a whole to achieve the best results.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is confident with good self-awareness and can distinguish between the personal and the professional. You have clear values and the ability to think conceptually about issues from an ethical perspective. You have good collaboration skills and are attentive, create contacts, and maintain relationships. As a leader, you motivate others and create engagement and participation, as well as show judgment in statements, actions, and decisions.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You who are applying have
