The Parliamentary Ombudsman (JO), or the official name of the Riksdag's Ombudsmen, supervises that authorities operate according to the laws and regulations governing their work – especially those laws that concern individual rights and obligations in relation to the public. There are just over 90 people working at JO, most of whom are lawyers. Our office is located at Kungsträdgården in Stockholm.
We are expanding our team, which currently consists of 15 registrars and secretaries. Are you service-oriented and have experience as a registrar in the public sector? Then apply to us!
Job Responsibilities
As a registrar, you will manage incoming mail, register and distribute new cases, receive visitors and phone calls, answer questions and provide information to the public, as well as assist in the disclosure of public documents. Your tasks will also include the dispatch of administrative decisions and other administrative tasks. You will also participate in the development of the unit's operations.
Qualifications
You must have completed and approved secondary education. Furthermore, it is a requirement that you have current experience in record-keeping and case management in public operations, in one of the commonly used case management systems. You should also have experience in responding to inquiries via email and phone and handling incoming mail. You should be able to work independently and have an easy time overviewing and planning your work.
It is advantageous if you have experience with the disclosure of documents and if you have experience from an authority or court with similar tasks included in the position.
As a person, you have a pronounced sense of responsibility, a careful, efficient, and structured working method, as well as good documentation skills. The work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as the ability to speak English. Additionally, you need to have good collaboration skills and be service-oriented. You demonstrate high flexibility without compromising the quality of your work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The employment is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period.
