We work within housing with special services, daily activities, employment, housing support, personal assistance, child and short-term housing, respite care, as well as support and guidance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a new employee for daily activities in Hisingen. You will be employed at daily activities Selma Stad but will work at several units with geographical spread. We offer a varied job where you will replace regular staff during absences by working at the unit where you are most needed for the day.

You will work daytime at units within daily activities with different focuses and sizes. The work is creative and includes theater, music, dance, and media. You will also work in a setting where participants communicate using sign language.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

It is a requirement that you have experience working with people with disabilities. It is also a requirement that you have previously worked in daily activities. You need to have experience working with theater and media. You also need to have worked with individuals who communicate using sign language.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) and clarifying pedagogy.

You can change how you work when things change. You can quickly adjust your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes.

You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment without relying on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward.

You are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure.
