Bra Assistans i Örebro AB provides personal assistance to people with disabilities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Insurance Code and the Social Services Act (SoL).

We are looking for someone interested in working as a personal assistant to a young man in his 30s with a severe intellectual disability as a result of a congenital brain injury.

Experience in personal assistance is a significant merit. The work may include everything from personal care, intimate hygiene, transfers, cooking, household chores, assistance with leisure activities, etc. You will help perform daily tasks together with the individual, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, walking, crafting, etc. You must also be able to adapt to the individual's own pace, which varies from day to day.

Some shifts are double-staffed, meaning that two assistants work together to ensure quality and safety in the execution.

The workplace is in the individual's home and wherever the individual may be.

Working hours are scheduled during the day and evening, both weekdays and weekends. We would appreciate if you can also work with short notice when needed, due to illness, etc.

We prefer that you, who are applying for the position, have a flexible and independent working style and can easily adapt to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility as you work based on the individual's needs. You should have good documentation skills and maintain a professional attitude. You should have a genuine interest and feeling for caring for people.

Other qualities that are beneficial for the job include a good sense of humor, calmness, patience, and being responsible.
