We at the Adult Unit, Social Services in Vänersborg are now looking for a treatment secretary who wants to work within our outpatient operations! In our unit, we work with adults with various forms of harmful use and dependency including gambling problems, domestic violence, other violence/threats, as well as dropouts from criminal activities and victims of crime.

The Adult Unit consists of an investigation team and an execution team as well as a unit manager. The daily work in each team is led and distributed by a senior social worker and two senior treatment secretaries who also are responsible for method guidance. As a new treatment secretary with us, you will receive a well-thought-out introduction, continuous internal method guidance from a senior treatment secretary, and external process guidance.

Job Responsibilities

The execution team of the Adult Unit is responsible for the implementation of various forms of outpatient interventions aimed at the target group of adults with harmful use/dependency and, to some extent, interventions regarding domestic violence. The foundation of the work is psychosocial support and pedagogical conversations/methods, and as a treatment secretary with us, you will work methodically with other employees in the unit to make a difference in our clients' everyday lives. The work as a treatment secretary is primarily based on assistance decisions regarding interventions, commissioned by the unit's investigation team, and it is the nature of the assignments and interventions that governs how the work is planned and carried out. We expect you to take significant responsibility for the layout, implementation, and quality of the work. You will also work according to the goals, guidelines, and legislation that apply to the operation and your position as a treatment secretary. In our organization, we are also very keen on adhering to the social services' employee principles.

As a treatment secretary, you work closely with clients, and it is therefore important that you have a clear client focus and the ability to create good meetings and conversations with our clients. In our unit, we actively work with implementation plans and goal follow-ups based on assignments and also prioritize follow-ups of granted interventions together with clients, social workers/investigation team, and possibly other providers/actors.

Scheduled working hours include weekends.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position, you need to have a three-year university education as a social worker, social pedagogue, or behavioral scientist (or another university education that the employer deems suitable for the position). If you have experience working with harmful use and dependency, domestic violence, or public authority practice and e.g. training in MI, ÅP, HAP, CRA, or other support/treatment methods, it is meritorious but not a requirement. You need to be able to work in a structured way, have a genuine commitment to our target groups, and a flexible and solution-focused approach.

The main qualities and abilities that are important for this work are responsibility, independence, courage, and curiosity, and the position requires that you have a very good ability to prioritize independently and to collaborate in a team. Something that is fundamental in the work as a treatment secretary with us is that you can express yourself well and nuanced in both speech and writing and that you enjoy documenting and understand the importance of documentation. You must also be able to complement and contribute to the continued development and dynamics of the team and the unit as a whole, so we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
