Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with a man in his 55s living in Majorna
• has good knowledge of Swedish
• has experience in similar work
• has experience with mobility aids
• is smoke-free
• has a B driver's license

It is also an advantage if you:

• are educated in healthcare and social care
• share the client's interests such as photography, art, music, sports, and nature
• have experience with acquired spinal cord injury

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

Summer temporary position from week 26-33, with an average of about 57% over the entire period. The position involves around-the-clock work with working hours from 09:30 to 09:30 (including 7 hours of sleeping on-call).

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are in accordance with collective agreements.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a background check from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police criminal record before a possible employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
