1st Infantry Brigade

The 1st Infantry Brigade (IB1) is the latest of the Swedish Armed Forces and Army's re-established brigades, with the main task of defending the capital area. The brigade is in growth and is looking for a personnel generalist for the personnel section. Within the personnel section, we work with war placement, personnel planning, personnel development, recruitment, salary, and work environment issues. The personnel section is part of the brigade staff that works together with other units in the staff and also with other units within the regiment and other parts of the Armed Forces. The section consists of a personnel manager, personnel generalists, and a personnel administrator.

Main Responsibilities

As a personnel generalist, you will work broadly with various types of personnel issues. You will drive your personnel processes and cases. Your tasks include supporting managers with personnel administration, salary formation, recruitment, and work environment issues. The position also includes participation in exercises conducted by the brigade.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma
  • Education in personnel administration or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer
  • Good knowledge of Office Suite
  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to successfully lead multiple projects simultaneously. As a result, you need to be well-organized and want to work in a structured manner and have the ability to prioritize different tasks. Furthermore, you need to be solution-oriented, self-driven, proactive, and communicative. You have good social skills and a consultative approach.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

  • Higher education in HR, e.g., from the personnel management program or equivalent as assessed by the employer
  • Work experience that the employer considers relevant to the position
  • Military basic training
  • Driving license B

Employment type: permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

Business trips and exercises may occur in the position.
