Do you want to drive the development of Sweden's strongest semiconductor ecosystem? Here you will have a central role in shaping the future of the industry by building strategic partnerships!

Together with partners and the team at Kista Science City, it will be your task to contribute to increasing knowledge and insight into how semiconductors are a key technology for secure digitalization and competitiveness.

About the position

The semiconductor ecosystem is becoming increasingly important, and Europe needs to strengthen its self-sufficiency. Sweden's leading innovation environment for semiconductors is located in Kista, where the Electrum Foundation, together with RISE, KTH, and STING, works to develop and commercialize new technology.

In the role of project manager, you will have the opportunity to work to create better conditions for companies to grow, scale up, and collaborate with academia and industry. In close cooperation with KTH, RISE, and STING, we work to involve and engage companies in the development of the ecosystem. Through targeted efforts in skills development, networking activities, and better access to research infrastructure, the project aims to help Sweden strengthen its position in the semiconductor industry. Here, you will play a key role in an exciting technological shift, where your work contributes to advanced and sustainable solutions for the industry's future.

You will be responsible for strategic initiatives, leading projects from start to finish, and working closely with both academia and industry to shape the future of the semiconductor industry. The role is part of a project aimed at promoting innovation, commercialization, attracting talent, and developing an innovation environment. In this role, you will work with companies, research institutes, and resources that can manufacture the materials and components needed, as well as customers that make up the value chain for semiconductors and related technologies.

Your future tasks

You will be responsible for structuring, driving, and developing projects, ensuring that goals are met and that collaboration between different actors works optimally.

Examples of tasks:

  • Plan, lead, and coordinate events, matchmaking, and workshops for companies, students, and researchers,
  • Identify needs and stimulate collaborations with companies, academia, and public actors.
  • Monitor the environment and develop the ecosystem through new initiatives.
  • Seek funding, report to funders, and build sustainable structures for long-term development.
  • Market and communicate activities in collaboration with the communication team.
We are looking for someone who

To succeed in this role, you need to be a skilled network builder and communicator driven by developing ecosystems and helping others grow. You have a business development-oriented mindset and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you have a great opportunity to influence. You find it easy to drive processes with many stakeholders. Additionally, we see that you have:

  • A university degree.
  • At least 5–10 years of experience in strategic and operational work.
  • An understanding of collaboration between academia, industry, and public actors.
  • Experience in leading innovation processes and building strategic partnerships.
  • A technical interest and understanding of deep tech and hardware is highly meritorious.
