Description

Do you want to be part of the reconstruction of the county's total defense and support essential actors in the field of civil preparedness? Come and work with us at the county's highest civilian total defense authority and contribute your expertise! We are looking for someone who wants to work on developing the county's capacity in civil preparedness.

Total defense is currently in an expansive reconstruction phase. Much will happen in the coming years that will have a significant impact on the continued development at all levels, from national to local, and across many sectors.

The role of the County Administrative Board is to coordinate preparedness work for the county's actors. We have several government assignments and also collaborate within the civil area in the north, which covers the majority of the country's territory. We focus heavily on supporting municipalities and other actors in their development of preparedness capabilities. In the coming years, we will direct special efforts to involve the business community and volunteer resources more in total defense work.

Responsibilities

You will plan, coordinate, and support operational development within total defense, both internally within the County Administrative Board and externally with the county's actors. This means contacts with public actors, volunteer organizations, and the business community at the regional level. You will have a broad field of work and will work within our focus area regarding supply preparedness. This may involve developing the county's capacity through the governor's business council, planning and conducting training and workshops, conducting surveys, and contributing to ensuring that risk and preparedness considerations are taken into account in the county's urban planning. Responding to reporting requests and other statements within the preparedness area will also be part of your work.

In your role, you will act more as a generalist than a specialist, providing good opportunities for development by both broadening and deepening your expertise. We work both independently and collaboratively in a group without prestige. The assignment may also include participation in national working groups and driving networks. Therefore, you need to have the ability to create engagement when speaking in front of larger groups and leading processes with many participants.

The content of the position may vary over time, so openness to new challenges is necessary.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic education. You should have at least five years of work experience in relevant fields and an understanding of the Swedish preparedness system.

It is advantageous if you have a background in any of the following:

• Management of complex projects
• Experience in supply preparedness.

It is important that you are self-driven and have good analytical skills that can be applied in practice and lead to results. Persistence is also required, as you remain motivated and work until projects are completed or results are achieved. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

As the job involves some travel, a B driver's license is required, and you need to be prepared for business trips within and outside the county to become part of your daily routine. The position requires a security clearance, so it is necessary that you are a Swedish citizen.

Conditions

Permanent full-time employment, fixed monthly salary. The County Administrative Board applies the possibility of entering into a remote work agreement for up to 50% of the working time.
