Region Jämtland Härjedalen is Looking for a Project Manager for Parenting Support

Region Jämtland Härjedalen works for development and growth in the county, to offer all residents and visitors high-quality healthcare and to promote the health of individuals in the region. The Public Health Unit is a unit within the regional administration tasked with being a knowledge and development support in the region's public health efforts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a project manager, your main goal will be to create a structure for long-term and effective work with parenting support in Region Jämtland Härjedalen. Parenting support within healthcare includes both health-promoting and broad preventive support, as well as support for at-risk groups and families with various issues. This can include support from Maternal and Child Health Care, support for parents with children who have disabilities, support for families with identified problems or serious illness, or needs that arise when the adult is unwell and the child is a relative.

The assignment is based on the national strategy for strengthened parenting support and an already developed plan that builds on the recommendation from the Swedish Agency for Family Law and Parenting Support that municipalities and regions need to systematize their work with parenting support to ensure that the support is sustainable over time and equitably distributed. The assignment includes creating conditions for a supportive organization to ensure a structured, long-term, and effective work with parenting support in Region Jämtland Härjedalen, to subsequently establish a coherent thread between the various arenas in the municipality, region, and civil society.

Development Work's Sub-goals are:

Maintain and develop good collaboration around parenting support initiatives within healthcare in Region Jämtland Härjedalen
Based on existing resources, build a common platform to act through collaboration between the region's concerned operations and, in the long run, collaborate with external actors
Provide active knowledge support to succeed in implementing a supportive organization
From an equality perspective, ensure that compensatory measures are secured for groups of parents with documented poorer living conditions and greater ill health
Region Jämtland Härjedalen should clarify its role for a regional supportive organization and contribute to maintaining and developing the county's work with parenting support

You are expected to lead the project in collaboration with a working group consisting of appointed functions from the concerned operations, which you will help build and set the framework for.

In this role, you are also expected to contribute to other assignments within the framework of the Public Health Unit's mission, depending on your background and expertise, other tasks may also be added.

QUALIFICATIONS

Good knowledge and experience of what strengthened parenting support means
Experience working from a child perspective and professional knowledge of child and youth development.
Good knowledge of what equitable health means and a commitment to health-promoting and preventive work.
Proactive and experienced in driving development with proven experience in leading projects or processes towards set goals.
Holistic perspective, attentive to different needs and conditions, and possesses good pedagogical skills.
Good knowledge of working in a politically governed organization and preferably knowledge of healthcare's operational areas.
Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
Higher education assessed as relevant to the assignment.
