Personal Assistant Wanted

We are now looking for a personal assistant for our client, a cheerful 23-year-old girl. She lives in her apartment in Mölltorp, located outside of Karlsborg.

Our client has many interests such as swimming, walking, swinging, receiving massages, or just enjoying a quiet time at home. She also spends part of her weekdays at a daily activity center where we, as assistants, accompany her.

Our client has significant care needs due to multiple disabilities, including autism and deafblindness. She communicates using signs and pictures, which you will learn on-site. It is also important that you learn to read her and interpret signals, gestures, etc.

There are many aids available for both indoor and outdoor environments, and you will receive personalized training at the workplace regarding routines and aids.

Role and Experience of the Assistant

Experience working with disabilities is an advantage, but the greatest emphasis is placed on personal suitability. We expect you to be meticulous, responsible, attentive, and have great patience.

The client's assistance is provided by a small group of assistants, and you will become part of a team, so it is important that you can collaborate as well as work independently. Assistance is provided both in her apartment and at her parents' home.

It is beneficial if you are flexible regarding working hours; if an assistant is sick or on vacation, the team will manage staffing themselves. Everyone helps for the client's best.

Desirable Experiences

• Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
• Fluent in Swedish.
• Driving license (B).

Working Hours/Employment Rate

Summer substitute starting in May with an introduction. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and nights.
