Within individual and family services, open care and authority exercise for children, youth, adults, and elderly people are included, and social services are divided into different units/responsibility areas. Each unit has a unit manager and one or two senior social workers who can provide support to employees in the handling process. We have built close cooperation with partners both within and outside the unit, which contributes to making a difference for those we work with and for. With a focus on people, efforts are implemented through assistance to individuals with various needs for help and support in their daily lives.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a social worker for individual and family services, IFO, for the assistance unit with a focus on care and support. The assistance unit is divided into two groups, Care and Support and LSS/Psychiatry. The unit employs 14 social workers, senior social workers, and a unit manager. The assistance unit consists of an experienced and knowledgeable workgroup where collaboration and teamwork characterize everyday life. As a social worker, you will handle applications and assess needs, inform, make decisions, and follow up on efforts for those entitled to assistance under the Social Services Act (SoL). In your role, you will primarily meet individuals over 65 years old, their relatives, as well as guardians/managers. We collaborate with service providers such as home care, short-term housing, special accommodations, other social services, authorities, and healthcare. The work involves a high degree of authority exercise with requirements for legal security, a common approach, and equivalent assessments. With your knowledge and a good attitude, you ensure that the individuals you meet receive the help and support they need to live a good and independent life like others. The assistance unit works in a team-based manner, and we are looking for social workers who are curious, engaged, and want to share the sense of community. We use the documentation system Procapita/Life Care, and the assistance unit has worked based on IBIC for several years. The assignment includes managing the care planning system SAMSA. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Since the position involves administrative work, you need to have a good ability to express yourself and reason both orally and in writing. Experience in authority exercise with investigations, assessments, and decisions is meritorious for the position and from the target group. You also enjoy a fast pace and can balance various demands while maintaining calm in difficult situations and making well-founded decisions. You see opportunities and solutions and actively choose to view (work) life from the bright side. It is desirable that you are well acquainted with the handling process according to the Social Services Act and have experience with documentation in the operational systems IBIC/SAMSA and Life Care, and that you have an easy time learning how the different systems work. You take responsibility for your and the shared tasks with the organization's/users' best interests in focus. You base your work on everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in various meetings and also within your own workgroup. Before an employment offer, an acceptable extract from the police records must be presented. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
