About the Job

Within the Unit for Support and Employment, there are several operations; housing support, activity house, establishment, and labor market. We are 12 people working together at Hedens by on Hönö and also have a nature conservation team within the labor market located in Öckerö.

The advertised position is a temporary role within the housing support service. This service is aimed at individuals with mental and neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as dependency issues. It also includes support for children and their guardians.

Job Description

In housing support, we receive assignments based on assistance from the social services authority. The interventions concern individuals with mental and neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as dependency issues. We work based on each person's set goals and collaboratively developed implementation plans. The work largely takes place in the individual's home environment and in consultation with the individual.

The fundamental goal of housing support is to contribute to better well-being, enabling the individual to achieve a higher degree of independence and a more manageable everyday life. It also aims to break isolation and create pathways into society and social contexts.

An important part of the work is collaboration with other relevant actors around the individual, such as commissioners and other professionals within social services, psychiatry, addiction treatment, etc.

Our operation also includes an open activity service for residents within the target group. This service is provided without an assistance decision. Three staff members within the group are responsible for the activity service as a fixed assignment within their roles.

In housing support, we also receive assignments from the social office's family group within the authority regarding support for children and their guardians/parents.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who has a degree or is studying to become a social worker, behavioral scientist, treatment pedagogue, support assistant, nursing assistant, or another relevant education for the position. Experience working with mental disabilities, dependency, or other social work is considered an advantage.

As you need to document in the role and communicate clearly with our users, you must have a good command of the Swedish language. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities, such as being empathetic, responsible, pedagogical, and good at taking initiative. A positive attitude and an interest in the target group, showing that you believe in people's potential and ability to develop, is important.

You must be at least 18 years old and hold a B driver's license.
