Social Worker for Adult 2

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a social worker for Adult 2 to join our eviction prevention team. The Social Administration Nordost has five adult units that work with individuals aged 18 and older. We have a reception unit that receives and distributes cases to the other investigation units, including Adult 2. In addition, we have a unit with various execution resources. The starting point for all of us is the Social Services Act and the politically established goals.

In the position we are now recruiting for, you will work with eviction prevention efforts. The support may vary depending on the need for intervention but largely consists of advice and support to the individual as well as assistance-assessed interventions. The work requires legal certainty, a common approach, and equal assessments, as well as some authority exercise. Using your knowledge and a good attitude, you will ensure that the individuals we meet receive the help and support they need to live as independently as possible based on their own conditions. The work is characterized by intensive collaboration with other units within the administration as well as with external parties such as functional support, healthcare, landlords, collection agencies, and disturbance response. You actively work with each individual with the goal that everyone can retain their rental contract.

Adult 2 has several different assignments and is also responsible for investigating violence in close relationships as well as honor-related issues and investigating applications for supported housing.

Of course, continuous method supervision is offered by the senior social worker where the own group is an important part, as well as external process supervision. The administration actively works to maintain a high level of competence and therefore regularly offers several training sessions. The workplace is characterized by a good working climate, low staff turnover, solid experience and competence, and helpfulness towards each other. Working according to MI is prioritized in the unit, and employees are offered training in it.

Our office is located at Hjällbo Lillgata 1, where Adult 1, Social Assistance, and Children and Youth also have their premises. All caseworkers have their own large rooms.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a trained social worker, or alternatively, you have another academic education that the employer assesses as equivalent, combined with experience and knowledge of the Social Services Act. It is of great importance that you are well acquainted with the legislation and other regulations that govern the operations.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience of authority exercise with investigations, assessments, and execution of decisions, as well as an interest and experience in working with people with different needs to maintain and preserve their housing. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of mental health issues, disabilities, addiction, rental laws, and have investigation experience. Having worked in Treserva is a plus.
