MST Therapist Wanted at Social Administration Nordost
The Social Administration Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with equal and effective welfare, enabling them to live safe and independent lives. The administration supports individuals and families according to the Social Services Act. We also offer activities and meeting places that can provide children and young people with a meaningful leisure time. Furthermore, the administration actively works with crisis support, safety issues, community life, public health, and contacts with residents and civil society.
Welcome to a vibrant administration in a dynamic urban area - here we work for community and openness with a focus on those we are here for!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The MST team is organized within the Social Administration Nordost. MST targets families with adolescents who have behavioral problems such as crime, substance abuse, school issues, and/or aggression. MST is an evidence-based and intensive treatment program that focuses treatment on the environment where the youth is situated, including their home and family, school and its staff, neighborhood, and friends.
The job responsibilities consist of intensive family work, and the therapist meets with families several times a week at times that suit them. This means irregular working hours, which the therapist can largely influence themselves, as well as paid on-call duty approximately every sixth week. The work is free, flexible, and challenging, but at the same time, the model, colleagues in the team, and the team leader provide significant support for the therapist. The team has methodological supervision every week. Once a quarter, several MST teams from different parts of Sweden meet together for training/deepening knowledge in specific areas. The role includes on-call duty approximately every sixth week.
Currently, the unit has two existing teams, and from the beginning of 2024, we will be working in all of the city's districts. Both teams are based at Kortedala Square.
The unit is also part of a research study related to a 4-day workweek, which will last for 6 months.
