JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a colleague for a housing with special services for young adults with neuropsychiatric diagnoses and mental health issues. With us at Västra Tuvevägen, ten tenants live. As a support assistant, you will support our tenants based on individual needs that will lead to a good and independent life. The work includes motivating users in their daily lives. This can be stimulating contacts outside the residence and creating conditions for a rewarding leisure time based on the user's interests. It can also include support around personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, and cooking. Our main tool is our approach and attitude, where response issues and method development are central. As a support assistant, you enable our tenants to develop and grow. In our work, we base our approach on a low-arousal approach in all situations.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. There are animals in the residence, so it is important that you are not allergic to them.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care Program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service to people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

You have experience of previous work with self-harming behavior and anxiety management. You also have experience working with the target group within neuropsychiatry. We consider it an advantage if you have experience of previous work with LAB (low-arousal response), MI (motivational interviewing), and ESL (an independent life).

You are friendly and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. You are attentive and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
