About Bagarevägen

Bagarevägen is a group home for adults according to LSS, located in a quiet area in Stenkullen, Lerum municipality. There are good connections to both Gothenburg and Alingsås by public transport for those who prefer to take the train instead of driving to work.

The residence has six apartments and is aimed at adults with autism and/or intellectual disabilities. We work with a low-arousal approach and our residence is permeated by clarifying pedagogy. The residence is staffed around the clock with awake night staff as well as sleeping on-call. We strive to meet individual needs and wishes based on a pedagogical approach, so that the residents have the best conditions to develop and experience an active and meaningful leisure time. We have our own operational vehicle and transport our clients, so a driver's license is required.

About the role In the role of residential support worker, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you will work towards making the day meaningful and rich in content. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, sleeping on-call, and awake night shifts.

You will have a group manager close to you who works in the operation part-time.

Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in health and care or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience in documentation. You have experience working with the target group and challenging behaviors. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible, flexible, and diligent. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our users' best interests in mind in everything you do. You are clear, pedagogical, and driven by helping people grow and develop. As a person, you are independent, unpretentious, and easy to collaborate with. You are proactive and attentive to the needs of the care recipients and have a natural respect for other people. Since we transport our clients in the service, a driver's license is required.
