The industries we train in are crying out for qualified personnel, and we contribute by educating the workforce of the future. About the school

Praktiska Gymnasiet Borås offers students a concept where theory is combined with practical moments both inside the school and out in workplaces. At Praktiska, we set high demands on ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, closeness, and practical learning. Our program offerings consist of: IM, FT, RL, EE, and BA programs. Currently, the school has about 140 students and 22 staff members.

The school will move during the academic year 2025/26 to entirely new premises in top modern execution with fully equipped workshops in Knalleland. We also have our own kitchen where all food is prepared from scratch. Students in grades 2 and 3 can become apprentices.

Your mission

The position is a permanent employment at 20% starting in August -25. You will mentor teachers and also support students in their development as well as in the usual tasks of the position. You will be part of the school's student health team.

We see you as an important and driving force to, with students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues, develop both the teaching and the subject. In addition to vocational-specific tasks, like other teachers at the school, you will coach students both socially and academically.

We mainly communicate through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans. This applies to both students and colleagues.

Your profile

First and foremost, we are looking for someone with experience in the upper secondary education area. We place great importance on personal qualities and value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs. Your AMBITION is to reach every student with your pedagogy, with high expectations of yourself. With your STRENGTH, you stand up for values such as sustainability, diversity, and equality and pass this on to your students. Through your PASSION, you inspire and engage each student to develop as far as possible based on their own conditions. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your main task is to lead them there!
