The Authority Unit is responsible for processing all cases within individual and family care, elderly care, LSS, and social psychiatry.

All caseworkers within the unit have an overarching unit responsibility, which means that processing cases across all areas of the unit may be included in the position. This also includes on-call duties, with responsibility for urgent incoming cases across all areas. Within the unit, the processing has been divided into special areas: adult social psychiatry, financial assistance, children and youth, elderly care, and LSS.

As several of our caseworkers will soon be on parental leave, we are now offering two exciting positions in a well-established workgroup. You will receive professional development, close supervision, and good opportunities to influence and develop the unit together with the team. The team works in close cooperation within the authority unit and with the municipality's service units.

Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities mainly include independent case processing within either children and youth or adults/social psychiatry. Both positions also include the development of work methods in collaboration with management and other caseworkers. The final design of the positions has not yet been established and can be adapted based on the applicant's skills and experience. We would like you to indicate in your application if you have a particular interest in working with children and youth or adults/social psychiatry.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience in processing cases within the social services area is an advantage. The work requires both independence and the ability to take initiative as well as good collaboration skills with various stakeholders. Furthermore, clarity, flexibility, and resilience to stress are required. A driver's license (B) is required, and you should be able to express yourself easily in both speech and writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. The position offers great opportunities but also requires a brave person who sees challenges as something positive and who wants to contribute to the continued development of our team.

Information

Both positions are temporary contracts during the parental leave of regular caseworkers. The contracts extend over one year, with the earliest start date being May 1, 2025, or as agreed.
