Residential Support Worker for Mariehöjd

We are now looking for a responsive and stable residential support worker for immediate start at our service housing Mariehöjd. Our residential support is based in ordinary housing that supports, motivates, and engages individuals with social psychiatric issues to live an independent life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities involve working in an investigative, supportive, and motivating manner to strengthen the individual's own resources for an independent life and active participation in community life.

In your role, you should be able to meet the individual where they are and understand the difficulties that may exist. You should be able to make independent decisions and solve various situations based on each individual's conditions and needs.

You will belong to the residential support group, focused on children and families, where you will jointly plan your work and support each other in cases.

Together with the individual, you will structure their daily life, leisure, and activities, as well as follow their development plan.

The organization strives for collaboration with relatives, health care, and labor market actors, among others.

The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. We work both during the day, evenings, and weekends. You will work based on a fixed schedule with great flexibility according to the needs of the assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone with a post-secondary education in, for example, social pedagogy/therapeutic pedagogy or another equivalent higher education.

As a person, you are attentive, positive, and secure in the individual meetings with the people you encounter and have a good ability to work independently and build trust. You are communicative, collaborative, and have a strong drive to support and motivate.

You should be flexible as the work is based on close cooperation with your colleagues, where you are expected to step in and support where needed.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. This is due to the fact that many of your job tasks consist of receiving instructions and conveying information in a correct and clear manner. We assume that you have a certain digital maturity in computer and mobile use as we use this as a work tool, among other things for documentation.

It is an advantage if you have experience in meeting people with mental health issues, previous experience working with individuals in need of special support, as well as experience and knowledge of low-arousal approaches.

A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities, and we also see that you should be able to work irregular hours.
