Family Therapist for the Mix Team

The Social Administration Sydväst is one of four social administrations in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees. In the Sydväst area, approximately 120,000 residents live, and the area stretches from Billdal to Högsbohöjd and to the southern archipelago. The administration's mission is to ensure that children, young people, and adults can live a safe and independent life, and that children and young people have a rich leisure time. The administration also works to support homeless individuals towards permanent housing. Through collaboration with civil society, local businesses, and other actors, we aim to improve public health and safety in the area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Resource Operations is an executing operation within the Social Administration Sydväst. The unit consists of various initiatives that all work with the target group of children and young people. We are now looking for a family therapist who wants to work in our Mix Team!

We offer you a job in a dynamic operation where you, together with colleagues, are part of a wonderful team at the Resource Operations in the Social Administration Sydväst. Working in the Mix Team means that you, as a family therapist, will work with families where children and young people have a problematic home situation. The work involves strengthening the parental role, improving relationships within the family, and supporting the family towards a functioning everyday life. The team works based on assistance from social workers, and the work is conducted in homes, at external venues, and in our own visiting facilities.

The work involves finding effective open care solutions together with the family, but also collaborating with other actors in the family's local environment. In the Mix Team, six family therapists work, and the team usually works in pairs. Close to the team is a method supervisor who supports the family therapists in their daily work. You will meet families with children and young people aged 0-24.

Depending on the nature of the assignment and the family's needs, there may be occasional work outside of office hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker, social educator, or has equivalent education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. We see that you have experience in family therapy and experience working with families with children of various ages. You have a systemic approach and experience in process-oriented change work. It is an advantage if you have further training such as Marte Meo, ABFT, COS, LFT, MI, TMO, or similar.

To meet the needs of families, we see that you are flexible, creative, and willing to try different treatment methods. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, starts activities, and achieves results. You are a good listener who has the ability to meet people with complex needs.

You have the ability to work independently and in a team. You should be able to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders within regulatory units. Documentation occurs in the form of journal writing, establishing implementation plans, and summaries in writing. A driver's license (B) is a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
