Hedeskogen is a group home in Tanumshede that accommodates five places.

In the operation, eight regular support assistants and one support pedagogue work. Here, we continuously focus on safety, response, and participation with a strong emphasis on development and quality. As one of our employees has chosen to move on to new challenges, we are now looking for a new colleague.

Job Responsibilities

At Hedeskogen, we work from a social pedagogical and creative perspective to provide support and assistance in daily life. We offer social interaction and contribute to a meaningful active leisure time for people with disabilities. The work is based on individual needs and should contribute to independence according to personal conditions. We work with contact person assignments and ongoing documentation as well as implementation plans. We employ clarifying pedagogy, AAC, and low-arousal responses.

The position has scheduled working hours, and most of the work is scheduled for evenings and weekends, with night shifts included.

We are looking for someone who is calm, stress-resistant, and very good at leaving their own needs at the door. Key words for us are co-determination, individual adaptation, and low-arousal.

Qualifications

The educational requirement is the Health and Care Program with courses in “Social Pedagogy” and “Special Pedagogy 2” or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social work with courses in “Basic Care and Nursing,” “Special Pedagogy 1,” and “Special Pedagogy 2.” In addition, a passing grade in Swedish 1 and Social Studies at the high school level is required. Alternatively, other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Education and experience from working with people with disabilities and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities is a requirement. We expect you to have experience working with social documentation and good computer skills. You need to have a good ability to handle difficult situations while maintaining a strong belief in people's ability to change and develop. The position may be recruited on an ongoing basis. Driver's license category B is required.

Conditions

For those offered employment, an extract from the National Police Board's criminal record is required according to the Law on Register Control.

The position is a permanent employment at 80% with the possibility to work up to full-time. Start date according to agreement. A probationary period may be applied for a maximum of six months.
