We are now looking for a female personal assistant who wants to work with a four-year-old girl with Charge syndrome. She lives in Majorna, Gothenburg with her family. In the role of assistant, you will make a difference in the girl’s and her family’s lives. You will have the chance to help a person live a life on the same terms as others as far as possible.

The work involves being a personal assistant to a girl with Charge syndrome who has extensive care needs. She has, among other things, a tracheostomy and PEG. The job includes everything from personal care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various aids, motor training, and physiotherapy, assistance with activities, etc. It is supervision around the clock, as well as double assistance. The workplace is in the girl’s home and wherever she is.

The working hours are scheduled both during the day and evening, as well as nights, Monday-Sunday. We would also like you to be able to work on short notice if needed, due to illness or similar.

As you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for your client, it is important to have a good work ethic where everyone supports each other and can work on short notice if needed, due to illness or similar. We also expect you to be available during the summer and holiday periods.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We prefer that you, who are applying for the position, have a flexible and independent working style and can easily adapt to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility as you work based on the individual’s needs. You should have good documentation skills and maintain a professional attitude. You should have a genuine interest and feeling for caring for people. Other qualities that are beneficial for the job include being energetic, patient, observant, empathetic, flexible, and responsible. You must be able to speak fluent Swedish as this is a job where good communication is very important. It is a significant merit if you have experience working in personal assistance.

Since we care about our clients' safety and security, we have a routine of obtaining extracts from the criminal record for all individuals employed by the company. This means that upon hiring, we will request a record extract from you before you can start working.
