The Care and Support Administration, with approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in the city of Mölndal and encompasses elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

Kjellbergska väg is a service residence where 5 users live. The unit is located in Lindome and has the forest right next door. We are now looking for a support assistant with great commitment and a heart for the work, as well as broad knowledge of individuals with autism and complex needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a support assistant, you will provide support to residents in their daily lives and work preventively by creating a predictable, manageable, and comprehensible existence by using clear pedagogical methods and individual adaptations. You will provide professional support by working with individualized AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to create conditions for participation and independence. You will work to strengthen the individual's self-esteem and belief in their own abilities, all based on the user's individually established implementation plan.

Your role also involves supporting users in developing their communication skills and sense of belonging, as well as providing support in social activities, both individually and in groups. The goal is to support full participation in society based on each person's individual wishes.

Your work includes providing support in all household tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, culture, and leisure. You are expected to collaborate well with the user's network, such as daily activities, guardians, and relatives. You will work with social documentation and continuously follow up and revise the implementation plans with the help of a support pedagogue.

As a support assistant, you will work closely with the support pedagogue and unit manager, following decisions and agreements, but you are also expected to manage planning around the user(s) for whom you are the contact person and take significant responsibility for the development of the operation.

We work with operationally adapted and flexible schedules. The need is continuously adjusted according to the needs of the operation, which means that you need to be prepared to work during the day, evening, weekends, and on-call shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who

• Has training as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Has experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in a residential setting with special services.
• Has experience with challenging behavior.
• Has knowledge of low-arousal approaches (LAB), clear pedagogical methods, and AAC.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• Has a driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with Timecare and Treserva.
