Are you an active and engaged person who wants to make a difference in someone else's life? We are looking for two assistants for a boy, a kind child with autism and intellectual disabilities. He is 8 years old and needs a lot of support and help to develop. As his friend and assistant, you will be an important part of his daily life and activities.

About the role:

• Activities: Participate in activities like playing ball, crafting, and painting.
• Food: Encourage him to try new things in the kitchen.
• Support and Development: Support and help him develop in various situations and skills.
• Friend: Be a friend and someone he can trust and have fun with.

Working hours:

• Assistant 1: 20 hours/week, 50%
• Assistant 2: extra/on-call hours as needed

Start: immediately

We are looking for someone who:

• Is active and enjoys participating in various physical and creative activities.
• Can handle both ups and downs as it is crucial to stay focused and motivated.
• Can work with low-arousal responses (LAB), which is an important strategy for managing challenging situations calmly and respectfully. It’s about staying calm, reducing stress and conflicts, and not reacting in a way that could escalate the situation.
• Has a big heart and a genuine interest in working with children and young people with special needs.
• Is patient, empathetic, and can create a safe and supportive environment.
• Is reliable and responsible.

Language: Swedish is a requirement.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism.
• Strength and endurance.
• Knowledge or interest in various sports and creative activities.
• B driver's license desirable but not required.
• Patience.
