Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, contributing to a smoothly functioning daily life.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with our female clients in Ulricehamn, Trädet, and Blidsberg
• has excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• has experience communicating with non-verbal communication
• has experience with multiple disabilities, epilepsy,
• is a competent swimmer
• is tolerant of pets such as cats and dogs

It is also an advantage if you:

• have experience in similar work, have started training in health and care
• have a B driver's license and a car to get to the workplace
• have good physical fitness and can perform transfers
• share our clients' interests such as listening to music, watching movies, going for walks, shopping, swimming.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The position is a summer temporary job from week 25 to 33, approximately 50-75%. The job involves work during daytime, evening, or night hours, active time, and on-call duty.

This is for our female clients in Ulricehamn municipality, placement is in Ulricehamn, Trädet, and Blidsberg.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Week 25, but we would like you to start with introductory shifts in April and work as a substitute for the client for a few shifts before week 25. Selection will be ongoing.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
