The Social Care Administration in Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, and health care interventions for the mentioned target groups. The administration has approximately 1000 employees and 45 managers. We are in an exciting phase where development and change work has a strong focus aimed at improving the quality for those we are here for.
Service housing is an intervention according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). The mission of the operation is to support individuals in their daily lives both at home and in the community when needed.
We apply work according to co-planning and therefore work across several units.

Job Responsibilities
The role of the support assistant involves motivating and empowering the user in their daily life both at home and during social activities based on the individual's needs, conditions, and wishes. The position also includes administrative tasks such as documentation in our operational system.
We work for independence and participation. The position involves close work with users where clarity and structure are important parts of the job. We work with cognitive aids and methods, and therefore previous experience with individuals in the LSS area is an advantage. Challenging behavior may occur in the work, and therefore we also work in a low-arousal manner.

Qualifications
You should have completed the care and nursing program, the child and leisure program, or have other education deemed suitable by the employer. As a person, you should be flexible and preferably see opportunities instead of obstacles. You have the ability to take your own initiatives and collaborate with others in the workplace. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, LSS, is an advantage. We consider it advantageous if you have experience with social documentation in the operational system Viva as well as experience with ESL and MI.
A driver's license is a merit.

Your values are well-founded and clear and are based on an ethical perspective. You collaborate well with both users, relatives, and colleagues and are attentive to the individual's needs.
