The Health and Care Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in the city of Mölndal and includes elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

Doktorandgatan's Daily Activities are aimed at individuals with intellectual disabilities at an early developmental level. The focus of the activities is on Activity and Experience.

You will be based at Doktorandgatan's daily activities. The position will be coordinated between several units within daily activities. Examples of focuses in other units may include Drama, Dance and Music, Crafts and Creation, as well as Service, Workshop, and Production.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, your main task is to provide individual support based on the needs and conditions of the individuals. You will work both in groups and independently in collaboration with your colleagues. The position also includes ongoing documentation, establishing implementation plans, being a contact person for participants, creating conditions for meaningful engagement, medication delegation, and care tasks based on the participant's support needs. The participants have significant care needs, and there are transfers and heavy tasks involved. It is important that you feel secure and comfortable with heavier work tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for the position:

• Trained support assistant or other education that the employer can assess as equivalent.
• Work experience from similar operations.
• Knowledge of low-arousal approaches, clarifying pedagogy, and social documentation.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of tube feeding, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), extensive care situations, and epilepsy.

As a person, you have a good demeanor and show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role, while upholding everyone's equal value. You stay updated through environmental monitoring and regularly reflect on what needs to be developed in your operations. You can overview your own area of responsibility and place the significance of your own operations in a larger context, as well as show interest in and collaborate on overarching issues to create added value. In addition, it is important that you have the ability to act independently based on what the situation requires and to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment.
