I am looking for someone who wants to make a difference in another person's life while having a job that gives back in terms of appreciation and personal development.

I am a calm 43-year-old man living in my own apartment. I have a moderate CP injury, autism, and mild intellectual disability, and I need help in my daily life with most things that belong to a normal life. The tasks include assisting me with transfers (I use a walker and wheelchair), some hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and helping me with various activities so I can maintain an active life. I also need some social and mental support.

As a person, you are flexible, attentive, and able to follow instructions easily. My assistants work with a pedagogical approach tailored to my needs, and it is important to be compliant and understand the importance of following this for my well-being. I also have physical training due to my CP injury, which takes place in a warm pool, at the gym, and in my home. I enjoy being outdoors in nice weather, playing board games, visiting museums, attending concerts, and sometimes going on short trips within Sweden. Your workplace is wherever I am. I have a cat at home, so you cannot have pet allergies. If you smoke, you need to know that smoking is not allowed during working hours.

Your colleagues with me are of varying ages from 22 to 53 years, so being able to collaborate across age boundaries is important. Most of the time, the work is solitary, but there are occasions of double shifts. However, the collaboration between my assistants is close with regular meetings for planning, all to ensure I receive the best help. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is important for the same reason.

Work with me is distributed throughout the day and all days of the week, but the exact schedule varies. All my assistants must be able to perform the tasks for all times, even though the distribution of these varies from assistant to assistant. During the initial period, you will be offered an introduction and substitute shifts during the absence of regular staff. If everything works out and you enjoy working with me, there are good chances for a permanent schedule of between 50-100% by late summer/autumn, as one or two of my current assistants may move on to new adventures. They have been with me for many years, so they are big shoes to fill, but I hope that you, who are reading this, might be the right person to take over the baton.
