Social Worker for the Investigation Group at Lotsen Children and Youth

We are now looking for a social worker to join our wonderful team in our investigation group located at Lotsen Children and Youth!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the investigation group, we handle cases according to SoL and LVU. Attached to the group is a senior social worker who distributes and supports case management, as well as two social workers who work with open care and follow up on assistance decisions.

The group is characterized by great commitment, humor, and professionalism. Together we drive work that makes a difference for the children, youth, and families we meet. You will come to a workplace that is open to your ideas! We actively strive for an equal, equitable, and inclusive working method, and since 2023, the organization has been HBTQI+ certified through Samkrafter.

As a social worker in the investigation group, you will receive cases from the reception group and continue the work with:

• Investigating children's needs and parents' abilities.
• Collaboration with schools, police, BUP, and other actors around the child.
• Tailoring solutions for families.

All placements and interventions related to the placement are handled by our child secretaries and foster care secretaries.

We place great emphasis on collaboration with parents and networks, and we have strengthened our open care to better find home-based solutions. Additionally, preventive work has been expanded.

At the children and youth unit in Mariestad municipality, we actively work for close cooperation with nearby operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the positions, we are looking for you who:

• Are a trained social worker
• Hold a B driver's license

We see that you are flexible and creative to adapt to meetings, situations, and unpredictable days. Since the work involves interaction with many actors, we also see that you have good collaboration and communication skills. To ensure a fair case management, it is also important that you are responsible and have a good ability to structure your work.

If you enjoy shorter contacts, meeting deadlines, and can quickly adjust in your work, the investigation group may be the right workplace for you!

Previous work experience in social services and authority handling for children and youth is meritorious.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

At Lotsen, you will have your own office and a pleasant workplace where we in the workgroup have a common Friday breakfast and often coordinate lunch training. We have Monday meetings where we go through the week and have set aside time for documentation on Wednesdays.

You will receive guidance and support internally from colleagues and the senior social worker. We also meet collectively once a month for external supervision at Residenset in Mariestad. As an employee within social services, you have both flexible hours, wellness grants, and the opportunity for vacation exchange. You will also be offered continuous professional development initiatives, e.g., through Yrkesresan and other training planned by the unit.

As a social worker in the investigation group, you can expect a salary between 36,000 - 41,000 SEK depending on experience and competence.
