The Health and Care Administration consists of four departments: Assistance and Health, Functional Support, Elderly Care, and Support and Development. The Health and Care Committee is politically responsible for the administration's work. Our operations involve providing care, support, and service to elderly individuals and those in need of functional support. We also perform certain health and medical care. The vision includes that our efforts should be carried out safely, securely, with dignity, and with influence.

We are about 850 employees working in various locations around the municipality, and we are a mix of support assistants, personal assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, support educators, assistance caseworkers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, care supervisors, among others.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want a meaningful and challenging job? We are now looking for personal assistants for a 2-year-old child. We offer both permanent positions and temporary employment for the summer of 2025.

As a personal assistant, you are a present support person for the child, helping with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meals, training, and medical care. The child has a tracheostomy and is fed via PEG, which means that a large part of your support will be related to these needs. Assistance is provided both at home and in other places where the child is, and it may also involve accompanying the child to hospitals or other care facilities.

Within the functional disability department, we have skilled method supporters who drive the work of strengthening our personal assistants in their professional roles. Together with method developers and colleagues, you will develop routines and working methods to create value and security in the work.

The recruitment concerns positions for day/evening as well as night shifts. Employment rate is 100%.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or has other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Previous experience as a personal assistant for children is an advantage. Likewise, if you have previous experience in medical care, tracheostomy, epilepsy, PEG, and feeding pumps, as well as mobilization after inhalation. Social documentation is an important part of the work, which means you need to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

The role of personal assistant requires you to be a stable and independent person with a high degree of personal maturity. You have a good ability to maintain a well-functioning collaboration with both users and colleagues and other individuals you meet in your work. You are proactive and enjoy driving the work forward by collaborating with users and colleagues. Furthermore, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change.
