About Us

Villa Viking is part of Gläntan AB and is centrally located in Herrljunga with good communication links. The accommodation has 6 places.

Villa Viking is an LSS accommodation for young people aged 14-21, both boys and girls, and primarily works with youth who have mild intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, and challenging behavior problems. With us, young people who have been granted LSS services live, which means they need support and assistance in their daily lives.

The working hours are awake night shifts.

The exact working hours have not yet been established, between 50-100%.

Job Responsibilities

You will provide support during the night based on the needs of the youth. This may include practical support, conversations, and supervision. In addition, lighter administrative tasks and household chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and setting up breakfast will be included.

As a daytime residential assistant, your tasks will contribute to the youth's development. Work with the youth is characterized by a salutogenic approach, humor, and clarity in everyday life. As a residential assistant, you will work with individual responsibility, follow the youth's implementation plan, write summaries, and work with the youth's network.

As a residential assistant, everyday tasks with the youth include cooking, cleaning, and laundry. You will also conduct educational activities such as conversations, social skills training, and support in contact and collaboration with friends, family, and community agencies.

Your role is to support, guide, set boundaries, and motivate.

We work solution-focused and use various educational tools.

Documentation is done in the IDOK journal system.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant education for the role, such as support pedagogue, nursing assistant, leisure educator, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We are looking for two to three people depending on the working hours you are willing to work.

You have previous experience working with youth with special needs, and it is an advantage if you have worked with alternative communication supports such as visual aids.

You must have a B driver's license, and we prefer that you are smoke-free. Access to your own car is beneficial.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are calm, secure, and have the ability to set boundaries. We are looking for someone who can function as a good adult role model and create stability and trusting relationships.

Both humor and patience are important qualities, as well as the ability to adapt to different situations. As a colleague, you are helpful, supportive, and flexible, and can work both independently and in collaboration with others.

Meals are prepared and eaten together with the youth, known as educational meals.
