We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, cultural school, and after-school care. The administration includes 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a school social worker for our school area in the city center, where Mosseberg School F-2 (150 students), Guldhed School F-9 (625 students), and the newly started Landala School Adapted Primary School 1-6 are located. Together, we are about 125 employees. As a school social worker, you will be part of the area's joint and overarching student health team as well as the local student health teams of the units. You will contribute with psychosocial competence at the organizational, group, and individual levels. In student health, you will collaborate with the school nurse, special educator, school psychologist, school doctor, assistant principal, and principal. The team's mission is to work health-promoting and preventive together with the assistant principal, principal, and work teams to strengthen children's and adolescents' opportunities to achieve the goals according to our governing documents. You will work at Guldhed School 1-9 and Landala Adapted Primary School 1-6.

Your responsibilities as a school social worker include participating in the school's ongoing values and safety work with common well-being rules, quality in teaching based on clarified learning environments with visual support and structure, relational leadership, and a salutogenic approach. Furthermore, you will work to promote attendance, conduct support conversations, collaborate with and support guardians, provide consultation and supervision to staff, and implement interventions in groups and classes. You will also collaborate with external actors such as social services, habilitation, UPH, and BUP. You will conduct school social investigations and assessments prior to admission to adapted primary school and investigate student absenteeism. You document your work in PMO and have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and the Education Act. You will also prioritize your interventions together with school management and other student health personnel.

Within the Primary School Administration, you will participate in professional meetings once a month together with social worker colleagues and professional developers and participate in external supervision. Social workers in the Primary School Administration operate based on a common job description.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education. The role also requires a good ability to express oneself in speech and writing. You have experience working as a school social worker and experience with younger students in adapted primary school. It is also advantageous if you have worked within social services, have knowledge and understanding of meeting students from a multicultural approach, and have worked with promoting and preventive measures. It is also advantageous for the position if you have training in family-based problem-solving and conversation methodology/supervision.

As a person, you are stable, empathetic, unpretentious, and secure in your professional role. You have a strong commitment to the psychosocial situation of children and adolescents and the ability to meet people in different life situations. You enable children's and young people's storytelling and contribute to highlighting students' participation and perspectives.

You find it easy to build relationships and are professional and respectful in your interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have an interest in working in an educational environment and in teams with various professions, both to lead health-promoting and preventive work for student development and to inspire thoughts and work. In your work, you are structured and clear and have the ability to take initiative and make decisions within the framework of your assignment. The professional role requires a high degree of cooperation and independence. You enjoy working with complex issues, see opportunities, and are creative. You remain calm in difficult situations and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure.
