About the client

We are currently looking for 2 personal assistants who want to work part-time for our client in Borås.

We are also looking for someone who can work extra as needed during the absence of regular assistants due to illness or vacation. If you can work during the summer of 2025, that is an additional merit.

I am a social man, 60 years old, a poet and creator, living in Borås. In my free time, I enjoy writing texts, going to the movies, meditating, meeting friends, and attending various cultural events alone, with friends, or with my partner.

At home, you will help/support me with everyday tasks such as hygiene, cleaning, laundry, and cooking. Since my immune system is very weakened, it is essential that hygiene and cleaning are performed meticulously for my well-being. I also need assistance with transfers, and if you have experience in this, it is a plus.

I have MS, asthma, and use a wheelchair. A significant part of my time is spent at the swimming pool, which will be one of your important tasks - to assist me in my training and take me there and back home. However, you do not need to have a driver's license or your own car as I use transport services.

I train in water aerobics several times a week as well as other physical activities, and it is most convenient to have a male assistant with me in the men's changing room, but all applications will be considered.

If you have an interest in training, stretching, and health, that is also a positive aspect. Due to my stiffness and spasms, I stretch regularly, and you will, of course, be an important support and helping hand in this.

To manage my training and daily life, I need nutritious and homemade vegetarian food. Here, if you already know how to cook this type of food, you can share your tips, or alternatively, you can learn from what I consider good food for me.

One important thing is that you are physically strong enough to perform my manual transfers for both your and my safety. The same applies to your fine motor skills - they need to be good as I use contact lenses and need help putting them in and taking them out of my eyes.

Being able to speak and write Swedish is also very important as I have a lot of dealings with authorities and associations.

As you understand, it is crucial that you, as an assistant, have very good social skills and possess calmness and patience. You will need to be sensitive and know when to take the initiative or step back.

The working hours for the 2 part-time positions are as follows:

Monday 07:25 - 18:25 18:25 - 07:25 (5 hours waiting time)

Tuesday

07:25 - 18:25 18:25 - 11:00 (5 hours waiting time)

Wednesday 11:00 - 18:25 18:25 - 07:25 (5 hours waiting time)

Thursday 07:25 - 08:25 18:25 - 13:00 (5 hours waiting time) Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Non-smoker during working hours
• Must be able to swim and have good water comfort as well as tolerate chlorine
• Has some form of experience or education in care and support/personal assistance (experience with MS is a plus but not a requirement)
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (due to my infection sensitivity)

Employment rate: 2 part-time assistants. 1-3 substitutes as needed

Start date: Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.
