We are now looking for a wonderful colleague for personal assistance.

You will base your work on the user's needs and utilize their own resources. The user often has extensive needs for care and support and may have physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities.

We are looking for someone who wants to work days/evenings, in some cases with sleeping on-call duty. We work with a 37-hour week as a full-time measure.

To ensure a good and secure start at your new workplace with us, you will go through an introduction. This will take place after the entire recruitment process is complete. This includes conversations and a physical interview with a recruitment specialist, as well as a meeting with the responsible manager and the user or their relatives/guardians.

Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will support and motivate the user in the areas of life they have difficulty managing on their own. The goal is for them to be able to live as independently as possible. You will assist the person in daily tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and communication. This may also include activities like training, household chores, and shared activities. You will have an independent and varied job, where tasks are based on each user's life situation. For this position, it is important that you are flexible and can quickly adapt as you will be working with different users. The role of a personal assistant places high demands on responsibility and the ability to build good relationships. Low-affect responses are a central concept in your assignment.

You are committed to working in a structured manner with clarifying pedagogy and social documentation. It is essential to collaborate professionally with various professional categories and the network surrounding the individual. At the workplace, you will assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and personal hygiene care.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Approved secondary education from the Child & Leisure Program, Health and Care Program with a focus on disabilities, or trained support assistant.
Previous experience in working with functional support.
You must be at least 18 years old.
Good mental and physical ability.
Low-affect responses and a pedagogical approach.
Professional demeanor.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Good knowledge of mobile and computer usage.
Good experience with documentation.
Can receive delegation of health and medical care tasks such as medication delegation.
Possession of a B driver's license.

Meritorious:

Since the tasks largely depend on each individual's needs, it is difficult to specify a common competency profile for all assistants. However, it is an advantage if you have worked with:
Experience with alternative communication (AAC).
Previous use of WidgitGo.

Life experience and personal maturity are important qualities.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal characteristics.
