Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant requires the ability to create strong relationships and a safe interaction. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done in different situations.

We are looking for someone who enjoys both fast-paced and calm moments in the assistance. Our client has a great interest in gaming and music, but also enjoys being outdoors and participating in various activities. For this position, you need to be a good swimmer, as visits to the swimming pool occur.

The work requires you to remain calm and use a low-arousal approach, as our client can sometimes be outwardly aggressive. Since situations can change quickly, it is important that you are observant, proactive, and able to adapt.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following:

• wants to work with a boy in his late teens living in Trollhättan
• has experience with autism and/or outwardly aggressive behavior
• has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• can work in a home with pets
• is smoke-free

It is also advantageous if you:

• have experience with low-arousal approaches
• have experience with alternative communication
• share the client's interests

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the position is approximately 50%. Working hours vary and include day, afternoon, and evening shifts on both weekdays and weekends. On weekdays, shifts are scheduled for afternoon and evening, while weekend shifts can be either day and afternoon shifts or afternoon and evening shifts.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are made according to collective agreements.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
