The Social Care Administration in Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services and social psychiatry, as well as health and medical care interventions for these target groups.

We are looking for temporary and summer substitutes for spring and summer 2025 who want to work in a fun, rewarding, and varied job.

Summer substitutes in disability services and individual and family care

Job Responsibilities

As a summer substitute with us, you provide social support and care to individuals with some form of disability.

The users have various physical and/or intellectual disabilities and live either in their own homes or in shared accommodations.

The work as a support assistant and habilitation staff involves being a support for the users in their daily lives. The type of support needed varies and can include tasks such as educational support in daily life, personal care, and common household tasks such as laundry and cooking.

The working hours are scheduled for days and evenings or nights, weekdays and weekends according to a schedule. Sleeping on duty and 24-hour shifts may also occur. When working on a fixed schedule, you work every other weekend.

To work in care, you must present an approved extract from the police criminal record. This is one of the background checks conducted before potential employment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has an interest in working with people and can see each individual's needs and conditions. In your role, you show consideration for those you meet, are meticulous and responsible, and work with the user in focus based on established routines and action plans.

You must be at least 18 years old, have the right to work in Sweden, and have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as documentation and medication delegation are part of the job.

It is advantageous to have education in care and social services and child and leisure for work within LSS operations. For work within individual and family care, previous experience is required, and education as a social or treatment pedagogue is advantageous.

A driver's license and access to a car are advantageous and required for some of our units.
