Summer Job as a Personal Assistant or Companion

Partille municipality has today 40,000 inhabitants and is a suburb in development. The Health and Social Care Administration consists of four departments: Assistance and Health, Functional Support, Elderly Care, and Support and Development. The Health and Social Care Committee is politically responsible for the administration's work. Our operations involve providing care, support, and service to elderly individuals and those in need of functional support. We also perform certain health care services. The vision includes that our efforts should be carried out safely, securely, with dignity, and with influence.

We are about 850 employees working throughout the municipality, consisting of a mix of support assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, support educators, case managers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, care supervisors, among others.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your job involves assisting and supporting users, both children and adults, based on assessed needs. You will work in a structured and goal-oriented manner according to an established implementation plan, in dialogue with users and in close collaboration with colleagues and coordinators for the operations. You will be part of a smaller workgroup and contribute with commitment to meet the users' needs.

In your daily work, you will start from the user's home and provide support according to the needs that arise. This support includes everything from assisting the user with daily routines, meals, and household chores, to motivating and accompanying them to various activities. You will help ensure the quality of the service by documenting deviations and important events in our operational system.

Of course, you will receive an introduction before your employment so that you can feel secure in your role.

The summer period lasts until the end of August. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, nights, on-call, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a stable and independent person with a high degree of personal maturity. You have a good ability to maintain a well-functioning collaboration with both users and colleagues, as well as other individuals you encounter in your work. You are proactive and enjoy driving work forward by collaborating with users, colleagues, coordinators, and managers.

We prefer that you are a trained nursing assistant, support assistant, or similar, and that you have experience working as a personal assistant and/or experience in companionship with children, youth, and adults. It is advantageous if you have experience in autism, low-arousal responses, AAC, track, tube feeding, cough apparatus, and epilepsy. Social documentation is an important part of the work, which means you need to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.

OTHER

For work within the Health and Social Care Administration in Partille municipality, you need to have a passing grade in Swedish from elementary school, or alternatively SFI-D, to manage documentation.

In this recruitment, we do not want you to submit a personal letter. Instead, you will answer a number of survey questions when you submit your application. This is to collect relevant information for the recruitment process, where all applicants will answer the same questions. The answers will then be used together with your CV in the selection process. If we still receive a personal letter, it will not be considered.

Before a potential employment, you need to present a valid passport or national ID for verification of identity and citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to present a valid residence/work permit or prove that you are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. A valid extract from the police criminal record must also be presented before employment.
