Socialförvaltningen Hisingen is part of the social services in Gothenburg City. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support in individual and family care, social emergency services, assistance with substance abuse, and integration issues. We also work with recreational activities and preventive work around public health, community planning, local safety work, and integration issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Reception Unit is part of the Children and Youth Authority Hisingen and consists of three teams, each with 6-7 social workers, all led by their own senior social worker. In addition to the reception unit, the department consists of four investigation units, two specialized units; the Domestic Violence Unit and the TUR, the team for youth at risk, as well as two child protection units.

As a social worker in the Reception Unit, you will receive reports and applications, assess cases, conduct safety assessments, and talk with children, youth, and guardians. If necessary, an investigation is initiated, and the case is handed over to colleagues in the investigation units. The role requires close collaboration between the different teams.

An important task for the reception unit is to participate in various types of networks, both across Hisingen and with other professional organizations, such as collaboration with schools, preschools, healthcare, police, and SSPF. The unit has an information responsibility towards external and internal organizations as well as towards residents regarding mandatory reporting and the social services' mission, as well as providing advice and support.

Case management and documentation are carried out according to BBIC, and you will work under both SoL and LVU legislation. You will receive training and regular methodological supervision and case reviews in close collaboration with the senior social worker.

The reception unit is often the group that meets the vulnerable and those in need of support first, which requires a respectful, professional, and present approach. The reception unit is the department's face towards users and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work is required, and previous experience with children and youth authorities is highly meritorious. You are friendly and helpful to others even in stressful situations.
