The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Margretelund receives non-compulsory school-age girls and boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. We operate in Lidköping and near Falköping.

Job Description

Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment assistant at SiS.

SiS Youth Home Margretelund Falköping is now looking for treatment assistants for summer temporary positions during our holiday periods in June, July, and August.

If you have the opportunity to start as a substitute before these weeks, we see it as a significant advantage.

The youth at SiS have backgrounds marked by unpredictability and stress in various forms, which means your focus will be on professionally working with treatment, care, and motivational efforts, as well as being a support in daily life. You will be part of the youth's schooling, cooking, cleaning routines, and evening activities. All activities are carried out safely and are carefully risk-assessed before implementation, which you will also be responsible for.

As a treatment assistant, you will work in a team with trained treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, and together you will be responsible for ensuring that the youth living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. Documentation is an essential part of your work and contributes to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and participate in working towards a continually better SiS.

Working hours are according to a schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.

As a summer temporary employee at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

You must have:

  • A valid high school diploma (at least grade E in: 2250 out of 2500 points, Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, English 5, Mathematics 1, and the high school project). Foreign high school diplomas can be accepted if validated in Sweden and if you have additionally studied Swedish.
  • Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., in psychiatry, HVB operations, or care and support.
  • Category B driver's license.
  • Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.

We require to see complete high school transcripts before employment and would like you to attach these already in your application.

Meritorious:

Experience in treatment work for youth is an advantage.

  • Ability to build good relationships.
