The Social Administration Sydväst is one of four social administrations in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees. In the Sydväst urban area, approximately 120,000 residents live, stretching from Billdal to Högsbohöjd and to the southern archipelago. The administration's mission is to ensure that children, young people, and adults can live a safe and independent life and that children and young people have a rich leisure time. The administration also works to support homeless individuals towards permanent housing. Through collaboration with civil society, local businesses, and other actors, we aim to improve public health and safety in the area.

Your role as a social worker is to support and guide our clients aged 18-29 towards self-sufficiency, a role that provides you with a meaningful and rewarding workday. You will be an important part of the clients' journey towards self-sufficiency. By working closely with the clients in each phase of their development, you ensure they receive the tools and support they need to succeed.

The path to self-sufficiency looks different for everyone, and your task is to work with the client in the phase they are in. This may involve SFI studies, participating in activities organized by the Employment Service, Competence Center, being part of projects within VAMOS, or having contact with FINSAM. Other clients may be at the beginning of their planning, and your task may be to initiate various forms of collaboration with other actors such as healthcare and the social insurance agency. Through our system GÖREL, you will receive support in managing financial assistance effectively and legally.

QUALIFICATIONS

Social Worker - requirement
You who are applying must be a trained social worker or have equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Previous experience working with financial assistance is meritorious, but you may also have other relevant experiences such as working with our partners, e.g., the Employment Service, Social Insurance Agency, or as a provider in social services.

You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language and be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing, as the work involves official documentation and contact with clients.

You are friendly and helpful towards others even in a stressful situation. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are inviting and positive. You work to ensure that clients receive the support they need.

You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.

You are comfortable in social situations. You stand by decisions made and can convey uncomfortable messages when necessary.

You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

You ensure that work is completed on time and follow up on the results.
