We in the Social Administration Centrum work every day to ensure that the residents of central Gothenburg have a better everyday life.
Our assignments in the social field are many and range from regulatory activities to promotional and preventive measures. We work locally but also have operations that target the entire city to meet the needs of our residents. We want to create an equitable and effective social service with a focus on early interventions for a more equal city.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you our new child secretary? The Foster Care Unit in the Social Administration Centrum is looking for an engaged child secretary who wants to make a difference for children and young people.
With us, child secretaries and foster care secretaries work side by side, together with contact and support. The unit also has two Skolfam teams, which makes collaboration on school issues regarding foster care children both easy and effective. In addition, there is city-wide recruitment and training for foster homes and contact and support at the unit. We operate from our spacious and pleasant office on Prinsgatan. The unit is led by two unit managers and a total of five senior social workers.

As a child secretary, you have the authority and follow-up responsibility for children and young people within the city area who are placed in foster homes according to SoL or LVU.
In your work, you ensure that the care is legally secure and that children have the same opportunities for development as other children. Through regular and active contact with the children, you ensure that their voices are heard in decisions that affect their lives. You also collaborate with the children's network, school, and other professional actors, both within and outside the organization.
A close collaboration with the foster care secretaries is a central part of the role. We highly value this collaboration and allocate time for structured cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work and it is desirable if you have experience in social child welfare. We want you to have previous experience in regulatory activities and good knowledge of BBIC. You master the Swedish language in speech and writing and enjoy writing. You therefore have good computer skills. The position also requires you to have a B driver's license.
Knowledge of Treserva is considered an asset.
As a child secretary, one must be genuinely interested in meeting children at their level and following their development. We therefore wish that you have a strong commitment to children in social care, with a clear child perspective.
You are confident in your professional role and have a good ability to work both independently and together with others for the child's best interest. You should also be structured, able to work at a fast pace when needed, and able to adapt to changing circumstances that arise in our work.
