Description
The student health services for Uddevalla high school are looking for a school social worker.
As a school social worker, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in our students' lives. You will work closely with students and teachers to create a safe school environment. The assignment focuses on identifying and addressing social and psychological challenges that may affect students' education and well-being.
As a school social worker, you primarily work in a promotional and preventive manner together with cross-professional student health teams that include school nurses, special educators, and study and career counselors to support students' development towards educational goals. Access to a school doctor, shared between primary and secondary schools, is available. In addition, the high school has access to school psychologists.
The school social workers at the high school have joint meetings in the professional group as well as supervision. The student health team at Uddevalla high school collaborates throughout the academic year under the leadership of the head of student health.
Responsibilities
As a school social worker at Uddevalla high school, you will play an important role in creating a safe and inclusive school environment for our students. You will focus on supporting and guiding students through various challenges in their school life.
You are responsible for adding a social perspective to the work of student health. You primarily work in a health-promoting and preventive manner to support students' development towards educational goals. Together with the student health team, you drive health-promoting processes based on the high school's student health plan and annual cycle.
You collaborate with guardians as well as authorities such as social services. You participate in joint meetings and professional development for the social worker group as well as in workplace meetings under the leadership of your immediate supervisor at Uddevalla high school.
Who are we looking for
We are looking for someone who easily builds good relationships with students. We see that you have good knowledge of young people's development and living conditions. We work for consistency within the high school's student health work, which you need to relate to, while we also appreciate that you identify areas for development that we can work on together.
Your experience in health-promoting and preventive work focusing on youth at the organizational, group, and individual levels is meritorious. We are looking for someone who can work independently and take responsibility. You also have a good ability to collaborate in cross-professional teams as well as with other school staff.
Experience working with Prorenata, our journal system, is desirable.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work.
Previous work as a school social worker in high school is meritorious but not a requirement.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
