About the position

We are currently seeking personal assistants for two siblings, born in 2005 and 2007. We live together in Angered, Gothenburg. Both have extensive care needs and require personal assistance due to, among other things, autism and developmental disabilities, epilepsy, OCD, and gastrostomy. This means that they need a lot of practical help and support from their assistants to create a calm everyday life through structure and routines. The job requires you to have the ability and interest to learn to work methodically while also being open to sudden changes. Since they cannot communicate verbally, alternative communication methods such as pictures, gestures, and signs are used in daily interactions. Their interests include animals, being outdoors, playing, swimming, having fun, and music.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has a lot of energy and is genuinely interested in working with children. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with children or individuals with similar disabilities. It is especially important that you are motivated and interested in learning in this field. You will primarily work in a group, but individual work also occurs. Education/experience with the mentioned diagnoses, low-impact responses, and alternative communication is a merit.

Working hours and employment rate:

The working hours are varied: day, evening, and weekend shifts. After the introduction, night shifts may also occur. Total working extent: up to 100%.

Salary: Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, other compensations are according to collective agreements.
