JOB DESCRIPTION

Functional support aims to create social security and increase the possibility of an independent life for the residents of Härryda municipality.

We are looking for support assistants for two different residences with ground floor apartments. The group homes are beautifully located in a residential area in Mölnlycke. It is close to the bus that can quickly take you to Mölnlycke center or Gothenburg. In the center, you will find shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Working as a support assistant is varied and involves providing safe and good care and support in daily life as well as stimulating leisure activities. The work is planned based on each individual's needs and circumstances. The assignment includes helping with care, shopping, cooking, cleaning, leisure activities, and more. It also includes responsibility for social documentation and advocacy tasks as well as medication management according to delegation. We work in a low-arousal and structured manner to ensure that the individual can lead as independent a life as possible. The assignment includes having a good knowledge of the laws we work under. The work can sometimes be both challenging and physically demanding, which requires you to be confident in yourself.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Härryda municipality is working to reduce the proportion of hourly employees and instead increase the basic staffing. Therefore, the municipality applies joint planning, which means that you will do some shifts at other units, but your main working hours will be performed at your home unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained support assistant who sees opportunities instead of impossibilities. You have an open attitude and actively contribute to a positive work environment. You have the ability to work independently and are also a good team player. You have the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical approaches in everyday life.

Competence Requirements

To be considered for recruitment, you need to meet the following:

• You have completed the care program, are a nursing assistant/support assistant, or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• You have experience working with individuals who have physical or intellectual disabilities as well as within the autism spectrum area.
• Class B driver's license
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills.

Meritorious

• You have experience working with individuals with mental or neuropsychiatric disabilities.
• You have experience with low-arousal approaches, AAC, and clarifying pedagogy.
• You are familiar with ESL, care and support coordination, and MI.
• You have experience with TimeCareMultiAccess and Treserva.
